DESCRIPTION:
Solution for injection.
A clear solution, free from visible particles.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS:
Levamisole is an antiparasitic drug of the imidazothiazole class. It eliminates a variety of parasites via neuromuscular toxicity. It may activate and stimulate proliferation of T-cells; augment monocyte activation;and stimulate macrophages, including phagocytosis and chemotaxis. It may increase neutrophil mobility. However, it is not cytotoxic to neutrophils or immune cells.
Levamisole was found to be active against adult and immature gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematodes when administered to experimentally infected animals by the oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intraperitoneal routes.  It is thought to act by paralysing the susceptible parasites which are then expelled from the alimentary canal.
INDICATIONS:
A broad spectrum anthelmintic for use in the treatment and control of nematode infections. It should be used in cases of parasitic gastro-enteritis and lungworm disease caused by mature and developing immature forms of those organisms sensitive to treatment with Levamisole Hydrochloride.    
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
Administer by subcutaneous injection, the recommended dose below:
-Cattle and sheep: Single dose of 8 mg/kg(equal to 2 ml per 25 kg body weight).
Do not mix with any other products before administration except if premixing is done by a veterinary surgeon or a pharmacist.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Animals must not be treated within a period of 14 days before or after treatment with organophosphorus compounds.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Do not use with pyrantel because they share the same mechanism of toxicity.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Cattle withdrawal time: 28 days meat.
Sheep withdrawal time: 15 days meat.
This product must not be used in cattle and sheep producing milk for human consumption.
STORAGE:
Sealed and Store below 30°C.Protect from light.
