IRON DEXTRAN INJECTION 10% FOR ANIMAL USE
Description:
lron dextran is used for prophylaxis and treatment of anaemia in piglets and calves caused by iron deficiency .Parenteral administration of iron has the advantage that the
necessary amount of iron can be administered in one single dosage. Cyanocobalamin
is used for prophylaxis and treatment of anaemia caused by cyanocobalamin deficiency.
COMPOSITION:(Each ml contains)
Iron Dextran Injection.................100mg
Water for injection...........................q.s
INDICATIONS:
Prevention and treatment of the ferrous deficiency anemia in piglet and other animals
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Please deep intramuscular injection or subcutaneous injection vastus medialis.
Piglet: 1-2 ml; colt, calf: 1.5-3 ml
For other livestocks, if increase or derease the dosage, please take into consideration of the circumstances.
Contraindications:
Administration to animals with vitamin E-deficiency.
Administration to animals with diarrhoea.
Administration in combination with tetracyclines, because of the interaction of iron withtetracyclines.
Side effect:
Muscle tissue is coloured temporarily by this preparation.
Leaking of injection fluid can cause a persistent discoloration of skin.
STORAGE:
Store in a dark place, below 30ºC
Keep out of reach of children.
