![]() Butaphosphan + Vitamin B12 Injection General Information: Butaphosphan + Vitamin B12 Injections are widely used for curing the metabolic disorders in animals such as goat, sheep, and cattle resulting from poor nutrition, inadequate management or diseases. The injections are recommended in the developmental and nutritional disorders in young animals resulting from diseases during the period of growth, metaphylaxis of infertility and puerperal diseases and support of sterility treatment. Butaphosphan + Vitamin B12 Injections are also used in the treatment of tetanus and pareses, in addition to calcium and magnesium therapy, as support of muscular physiology, as an effective tonic in cases of stress, over-exertion, exhaustion, and reduced resistance. Butophosphan is organic phosphorus. It is the most important mineral involved in the cell activity science it is the main component of adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-the source of energy for cells, including working muscles. Vitamin B12 or methylcobalamin is necessary for the formation of methionine and its methylation derivative and for polyamine synthesis. Active coenzymes methylcobalamin is necessary for cell proliferation and replication. The formation can be worsened if vitamin B12 deficiency is present in the animal. Side Effects: No side effects have been detected yet, a transient local reaction may occur at the site of injection. Indications and UsageButaphosphan is indicated in the usage to combat phosphorous deficiency and improve the condition of the animal and its production with supplementation of phosphorous. It is further indicated for the treatment of hypocalcaemia (related to calcium therapy), anorexia, in breastfeeding, stress conditions, bird flu hysteria and cannibalism in birds. It is also indicated to improve muscle performance in race horses, fighting cocks, fighting bulls increase in milk production in dairy cows. ContraindicationsNo contraindications have been acknowledged for this product or any of its components. Administration and DosageThe usual dosage is as follows: 10-25ml of butaphosphan and vitamin B12 per kg body weight in horses and cattle and 2.5-5ml of butaphosphan and vitamin B12 per kg body weight in sheep and goat (intramuscularly, intravenously & subcutaneously). Butaphosphan + vitamin B12 injections shouldn't be administered if any hypersensitivity is discovered. PrecautionsUsage of aseptic procedures for the administration of injection is been recommended. 10mL or more should be split and given at successive intramuscular and subcutaneous sites. To restore vitamin B12 levels and also fight vitamin b12 deficiency, administer half of the above doses and repeat at 1-2-week intervals, if necessary. Refer to an animal care specialist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed what they advise, and complete the full treatment, as stopping early can result in a recurrence or worsening of the problem.
