COMPOSITION
Tylosin (as tartrate) 20 g
Excipient q.s.f. 100 ml
PROPERTIES
As an anti-bacterial agent Tylosin is active against most of the micro-organisms responsible for primary infections in domestic animals: mycoplasma, Gram+ bacteria (Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp…) and some Gram- bacteria (Campylobacter coli, Fusobacterium necrophorus, Actinobacillus spp…).
INDICATIONS
Cattle: Respiratory diseases, mastitis caused by Gram+ germs sensible to Tylosin, Foot rot, other diseases caused by Tylosin-susceptible bacteria.
Sheep and goats: Pleuropneumonia, metritis caused by Gram+ germs.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not administer to horses.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Deep intramuscular route. In case of severe affections, the usual dosage can be doubled by administering two injections a day.
Usual dosage :
Cattle : 0.5 to 1 ml / 20 kg Body Weight per day for 3 days
Sheep and goats : 1 ml / 20 kg Body Weight per day for 3 days
SIDE-EFFECTS
The use of the product may cause occasional and transient local discomfort upon injection.
PRECAUTIONS
Keep out of the reach of children and uninformed persons.
STORAGE
Keep the product in its original container in a cool and dry place.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat : 14 days
Milk : 3 days (6 milkings)
