PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Pharmacodynamics This product is an imidazothiazole antinematode, which is active against most nematodes in cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and chickens. Its anthelmintic mechanism is to excite the parasympathetic and sympathetic ganglia of the worm, which exhibits a nicotinic effect; at high concentrations, tetramisole interferes with the carbohydrate metabolism of the nematode by blocking the reduction of fumaric acid and the oxidation of succinate, and ultimately paralyzes the worm.
